Vision for ValleyProposed Capital Campain
With Valley approaching its 70th anniversary, there are many aspects of the building that need repairing and/or replacing. Thus, in 2007, Session voted to address the numerous facility issues, including deferred maintenance. In January 2008, the Capital Improvement Committee (CIC) was created, and its members have been meeting regularly since then. In July 2008, the congregation voted to approve selling three of its six properties, with the intent of obtaining funds to proceed with deferred maintenance items. It was also understood that some of these funds would provide a financial base for initiating a capital fund-raising campaign to address the maintenance needs and make possible structural changes to the current building. You are an important participant in Valley Community Presbyterian Church, and we would like to know your thoughts about the pressing issues facing our church building. Beginning Sunday, February 21, a survey will be available by clicking the link below and will remain online through Sunday, March 14. Printed copies of the survey will be available in the church office and after Sunday worship for those who prefer this format. We will share the survey results in the spring. This is a very important time for Valley, and we thank you for your feedback. Sincerely, The Capital Improvement Committee
